There are few things more promising than a new year, or chance to start something new. I think we all went into 2020 thinking this was our year. While this year did not go as planned, you’re still here and that’s something to be proud of. In celebration of new beginnings, I thought it would be fun to share this week’s journal prompt with you all. (ICYMI: I share weekly journal prompts with my newsletter subscribers. You can learn more here).
This journal prompt is centered around The Great Conjunction occuring on December 21, 2020. What is The Great Conjunction you ask? Until recently I had no idea either. Here’s a little run down…
Jupiter and Saturn will be in alignment which happens about once every 20 years. However, this year it is extra significant because it has been nearly 400 years since the two planets have been this close, and 800 since this has occurred at night.
Why do we care? This is the brightest and most visible the two planets will be since the 1200s. This also marks the beginning of a new 200-year long elemental era which is said to bring about technology and social change. Seem like a coincidence given everything that 2020 has brought?
So, what do we do? Treat December 21 like a new moon, a new beginning. This is a time to set intentions, reflect, and let go. Meditate, get your vision boards out, and manifest the $h!t outta this.
