Something about baking relaxes me. Maybe it’s the methodic measuring, or the mixing of ingredients to make something warm that’s sure to take people to a place of comfort. Or maybe it’s the carbs…all the carbs.
As the weather gets colder and it is harder to find activities to do after work hours that don’t involve plopping on the couch. I am finding myself in the kitchen trying new recipes. Recently, I tried a recipe from Joanna Gaines’ new cookbook, Magnolia Table, and it has rocked my world ever since…so I am passing it onto you!
For a little extra sweetness, I added in a handful of chocolate chips…this addition was approved and favored by all. I also had some left over dough, so I made a few muffins with the excess dough, which made for a nice and easy breakfast.
