People aren’t kidding when they say time flies with a little one! I can’t believe our babe is 3 months already. Now that I have a little time under my belt I wanted to share some products that have been really helpful for both baby and I. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be when you are trying to prepare for a baby’s arrival. Whether you are building your baby registry or checking off some last-minute items before you pack for the hospital, I hope this list is helpful. I will do my best to continue to add to this list as baby grows.
*updated in March of 2022 to add favorite products from 3 – 7 months.
TRIED AND TESTED FAVORITE PRODUCTS FOR BABY AND MOM
For Baby (newborn – 3 months)
- snuggle me – this was the first thing I bought for baby when I was pregnant, and boy was it worth it! Add this to your baby registry now.
- swaddle me – keeps baby Houdini arms swaddled and snug
- happiest baby sleepea 5-second swaddle – good for babies who don’t like arms swaddled down or when you start to transition out of swaddle
- lou lou and company – swaddle blankets, and two-piece sets, bows – anything!
- boon nursh bottles – these really helped with slowing baby’s feed down and gassiness
- dr. browns bottles (wide neck) – same ^
- portable sound machine – we use this more than I thought we would – ordered a second!
- hatch baby rest – again, add this to your registry. We use this to help set the tone for bedtime. This also has great options to program different sounds and lights.
- ubbi diaper pail – (not biased or anything…full disclosure, I worked for this company!), but it really is the best diaper pail solution for those stinky dirty diapers…and trust me, there will be A LOT of them.
- we used everything in this WTF (why the fuss) kit from Frida Baby
For Mom(postpartum)
If nursing or pumping (I am currently exclusively pumping and supplementing with formula as needed):
- nursing bras/tanks – below are some of my faves. If you are planning on nursing or pumping you’ll need several (aka you’ll be living in them)
- a hand pump – I use this one...easier than getting all hooked up to the wired pump during the day or when I am solo with baby
- medela hands-free pumping bra
- honest co nipple balm
- lansinoh therapearl breast therapy pack – love that this doubles as a heat or ice pack!
- Frida Mom Breastcare Kit
Other mom must haves:
- Frida Mom Postpartum Kit
- cute PJ set
- Beautycounter Serums – these two serums on makeup-free skin all day every day has been keeping my complexion clear and helping me look alive!
- Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum
- Counter+ All Bright C Radiance Serum
- Glow First Priming Serum (a primer and serum all in one)
- MadeGood – my go-to snack
- Glass tumbler – gotta stay hydrated!
More for Baby
7 Month Update: our favorite products from 3-7 Months!
- silicone bibs – we started purees around 5 months and while it’s messy, silicone bibs seem to be the easiest to clean and use at feeding time
- thinking of making your own baby food? I like these containers for storing purees in the fridge and this ice cube tray for freezing purees (each cube is 1 TBSP)
- skip-hop 2 in 1 high chair – this high chair is not the cheapest, but I wanted something slim in design, easy to clean, and good quality. This option checks all of those boxes, plus it can double as a “toddler kitchen helper” step stool when she is older!
- skip-hop activity center – this activity center was a Christmas gift for our little Miss, and has become her favorite! Again, I love that this can serve a purpose after she grows out of it and can be converted to a table.
- bibs pacifier – we’ve been using these pacifiers since she was about 2 months old, however, I like that they come in different sizes, and she’s since graduated to the larger 6-18 mo size…plus they come in cute colors and are easy to keep track of!
- these organic teether snacks from Happy Baby Organics have been a new favorite as she’s starting to get some little teeth, and still exploring with food
- once she started daycare, she unfortunately quickly came home with her first cold (gotta build that immune system, I guess). So, I have officially used the NoseFrida (IYKYK), and guess what? It worked, and she actually liked it! I suggest buying the whole Baby Basics Kit or adding it to your registry.
